“And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
In October, Logan and I were fortunate enough to be able to be married in New Harmony, Indiana. It was a freezing cold day, but absolutely beautiful, and I was determined to get married outside no matter how cold it was! If you have never been to New Harmony I will give you a little insight, it is a beautiful little town in southern Indiana that has old buildings and a lot of art. There were tons of great places to take photos. Even though I had been there countless times, my photographer was able to spot out places for pictures I had never seen. One of witch was an Ivy archway that ended being my favorite set of photos.
We rented out a little house to get ready in that was all logs and absolutely adorable. Logan and his groomsmen got ready at his mother’s house. We could not wait to meet each other in the Prayer Garden in the heart of this little town. Zach captured our meeting perfectly, and went out of his way to make sure when we saw each other for this first time it was a beautiful surprise. We hid behind fences, ducked on the ground, and sped away in golf carts. When we finally met we couldn’t stop looking at each other. We hugged and prayed and couldn’t wait to get married. Zach caught every moment perfectly without interrupting our moment.
The ceremony was beautiful and the faith, hope, and love were definitely all there. It was everything we had ever wanted. The scripture was perfect, and Pastor Tim said all the things we felt.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
– 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
The reception was a blast. The photography crew had no problem dancing the night away and making themselves at home. We all had fun together and celebrated the joining of two people under God. What a wonderful miracle that God created love.
